However, in August 2024, users found the portal inaccessible until August 7, prompting numerous inquiries about when the service would resume. On that day, CSD authorities made a significant announcement addressing the situation of CSD AFD portal showing "Under Maintenance" or "The site can't be reached".
In a recent announcement, it has been informed that the Canteen Stores Department (CSD) AFD (Against Firm Demand) portal is undergoing an emergent cybersecurity-related upgrade.
The CSD AFD portal, which facilitates the procurement of items against firm demand for defence personnel, is temporarily out of service. This measure is taken to implement necessary cyber security enhancements aimed at safeguarding the portal against potential cyber threats and ensuring a robust and secure platform for its users.
