Diwali Bonus: Ad hoc bonus announced

The Central Government has announced the approval of non-productivity linked bonus (ad hoc bonus) for its employees on the occasion of Diwali. Under this, all eligible employees will receive an amount equivalent to 30 days' salary. The government has approved Diwali bonuses for Group C and non-gazetted Group B officers working in various departments, excluding those covered under any productivity-linked bonus scheme.

Terms and Conditions for Diwali Bonus

  • Only employees who were in service until March 31, 2023, and have worked continuously for at least six months during the financial year 2022-23 are eligible.
  • Eligible employees will receive a bonus based on continuous work throughout the year, and the time will be determined based on the number of months.
  • The calculation for non-PLB (Ad Hoc Bonus) achievements will be based on the limit. The non-PLB calculation involves dividing the average payment in the year by the average number of days in a month and then multiplying it by the number of bonus days.
  • According to this order, all payments will be made in Indian Rupees.
  • As per this calculation, maximum ad hoc bonus will be Rs 6908 only.
