The Indian Army has implemented significant changes in its recruitment process. Previously, the first step in the recruitment process was the physical test, followed by a medical examination, and concluded with a written test. However, according to the official Twitter handle of the Indian Army, ADGPI, the new procedure requires the written test to be taken first for the recruitment of Agniveer and JCOs/ORs in the Indian Army.
Under the new process, candidates who wish to join the Indian Army must first register on the Join Indian Army website. They will then be able to apply for the recruitment rally and select their preferred exam center on a priority basis. About two weeks before the online exam, the admit card will be issued to the candidates. After this, an online common entrance exam will be taken, and candidates who qualify the online exam will be eligible for physical and measurement tests. According to the new process, the medical test will be done at the end, and the candidate will be selected based on merit for Agniveer or JCO/ORs.
The new recruitment process of the Indian Army aims to reduce the overall and administrative costs incurred during recruitment. In the previous system, physical tests were conducted at over 200 centers throughout the country, with the participation of lakhs of candidates, resulting in significant administrative support costs. However, the new process aims to reduce these costs by screening candidates based on the Common Online Entrance Exam, after which only those who qualify will proceed to the physical and medical tests.
Overall, the change in the recruitment process of the Indian Army is expected to bring about greater efficiency and cost savings. The new system allows for more streamlined and efficient screening of candidates, reducing the administrative costs and the time taken to select the right candidates for the Agniveer and JCO/ORs positions.
